3dsmax radiosity

3dsmax radiosity is build on the same principles as Lightscape.
While Lightscape lets you control tessellation on polygon-level, 3dsmax use subsampling. This way you can get away with a rough radiosity solution rendered in minutes and then subsample for details when rendering the final image.

Pros:
Easy texturemapping (native 3dsmax).
Easy use of IES lights for realistic caustic effects.
Glossy reflections (although it is really slow).

Cons:
Limited tesselation control.
Subsampling can be extremely time-consuming.
Dull reflections (compared to Lightscape).
